Born and raised in Vancouver, founder Sasha Plavsic, first got the idea to start ILIA when her mom, a pioneer in organic food, encouraged her to read the ingredients on her makeup. Sasha was shocked to discover the laundry list of dirty ingredients. With her background in typography and design, she launched ILIA known for their packaging and beautiful formulations.
